Video GDS3710 on Wave App via Wave Cloud



I have a ucm6302 and now I bought a GDS3710 Doorstation. On my android mobile I have the wave app installed (NOT the wave lite!).

So if someone presses the ring button on the door station, the android phone is ringing. But I can’t see the video until I answer the call. I have already entered the number of the GDS in the wave app, so I see the button for open the door - and this works. It also works if I’m not at home over the mobile phone network and the wave cloud. So I can talk with the person at the door even if I’m away. The only thing is, I don’t see who is at the door until I answer the call. Sometime I even don’t see anything after I answered the call.

So I installed the wave lite app from the google app store. Now there is no problem: If someone presses the doorbell button, my android rings and while it is ringing, I can already see who is at the door. But this only work if I’m at home, the android is in the same LAN as the ucm.

Do you know a solution? Is there a way, that I can see the videostream before I answer the call with the (cloud) wave app? Or is there a way to connect the wave lite android app with the wave cloud setting?

May I ask that what is the Wave Android app version you are using? Is it If so, you can go to More -> Smart Devices -> Door System to configure the GDS involved settings. If you already made it work in your Wave Lite app, you may not need to change the settings in your GDS side. Please kindly help to export the config file in your GDS device side and send to us for troubleshooting. Thanks for your testing!

I use And I’ve already made the config “Door System” in the app. Problem is: If the GDS3710 calls the android phone, there is no picture as long as it rings AND very often even after answering the call. There is a button to open the door but the rest of the screen stays black. And it doesn’t matter if the android is in the same LAN or it is in the 4G/LTE network.

If I use the app and I got to “Smart Devices - Door System” and press the handset symbol, I can call the GDS3710 and can see the video. So I can see it, if I call the door system but not if anybody presses the ringer button at the GDS3710.

If I use the Lite app, everything works fine - but only if I am at home in the same LAN. If I leave the Lite app has no connetion to the ucm. I can understand that, because as server is the local ip of the UCM is entered. But if I enter my wave cloud adress ( it gets also no connection - no matter if the android is in the LAN or LTE/4G.

We can see the preview video image before answering the call. Could you kindly help to export the logs from your Wave Android device? Please also capture the trace file with syslog from your GDS device side. We will help you troubleshoot this issue. Thanks for your testing!

I have the wave lite app and I get no video at all . What settings can be missing?


Well I got it working in wave lite with stream 3 and baseline. But that is not a solution because I want to use it in a ring group with grandstream 3350 and 3380 video phones and the baseline is a slow stream and delayed for those phones.
