Restore not working

#1

I couldn’t get my GXW4248 to accept my encrypted backup xml file, luckily I had a config.txt backup before I had to factory reset my box, but nothing I could do would restore my settings. I even tried typing a new config password, downloading a new encrypted backup and tried to upload that, nothing would work, it wouldn’t restore.

Using time and patience, and the config.txt I was able to create a file that I could just copy and paste to the ssh config prompt to run a bunch of set commands like:
set 4120 password
set 4121 password
set 4122 password
set 4123 password
set 4124 password
set 4125 password
set 4126 password
set 4127 password
set 4128 password
set 4129 password
set 4130 password
set 4131 password
set 4132 password
set 4133 password
set 4134 password
set 4135 password
set 4136 password
set 4137 password
set 4138 password
set 4139 password
set 4140 password
set 4141 password
set 4142 password
set 4143 password
set 4144 password
set 4145 password
set 4146 password
set 4147 password
set 4148 password
set 4149 password
set 4244 password
set 4245 password
set 21128 password
set 21129 password
set 21130 password
set 21131 password
set 21132 password
set 21133 password
set 21134 password
set 21135 password
set 21136 password
set 21137 password
set 21138 password
set 21139 password
set 21140 password
set 21141 password
set 21142 password
set 21143 password
it had all the sets like:
set 10 168
set 103 2
set 108 0
set 109 0
set 11 0
set 110 255.255.255.0
set 111 192.168.2.1
set 112 120
set 12 160
set 124 102
set 125 100
set 126 99
set 127 104
set 128 103
set 129 0
set 13 255
set 130 2

and on and on and on 1690 lines of set commands

after typing commit, the server came back up as to how I had it configured.

But seriously, can anyone decrypt their cfg000B82xxxxxx_enc.xml file??

In theory:
openssl aes-256-cbc -d -in cfg000B82xxxxxx_enc.xml
typing the encrypt password

should do something other than just “Bad magic number”

Can anyone else decrypt their encrypted backup, OR get their grandstream to accept the backup file?

Thanks all,

SKye
