I contacted grandstream helpdesk and this is what they recommended and it worked!!!

Can you please try to set the following and let us know the outcomes:

Set DTMF digit length = 50
Set DTMF Dial Pause= 50
Set the stage method to 1
Set Wait for Dial-Tone to No
