Grandstream Wave for iOS

#1

Is anyone else finding the following with the Wave App for iOS.

If app is open and extension associated with the Wave App is called, you can answer the call.

If the App is closed or if the App is open but the phone is idle and a call comes in, when you try to answer the call it is transferred to voicemail.

Something is not right with the Push notifications and Wave for iOS.

ios push isnt working with Wave…

Understood, thanks Kevin.

I should have placed a ? at the end of the sentence… but my guess would be right about IOS Push notifications arent working. IOS seems to be very stringent with its push notifications and GS might be working on an older version.

Heard similar along with a rumour of a paid version of the Wave app. Still an unacceptable situation for this app to be in.

Dear user,

Thank you for using the Wave application! Could you kindly let us know what are the Wave iOS app version you are currently using? What is the firmware version of your UCM63xx? You can try to use Wave iOS 1.15.8 and UCM63xx 1.0.15.10 and try again. If this issue still can be reproduced, you can export the logs from your Wave iOS app and send to us for troubleshooting. Please note that we cannot reproduce in our own lab. Thanks for your testing!

Thank you!

Are there any additional Router Port Forwards that you suggest apart from the usual 5060 and RTP’s?

Dear user,

Thank you for your feedback! We checked your given logs and noticed that the call was terminated by the Wave iOS application. If your operations are correct, this issue may be generated by the other applications in your iPhone. Could you kindly help to reprouce this issue and record a short video of your screen, and send to us for troubleshooting? You may kill the processing of other applications and try again. You may also try it with another iPhone and let us know the results.

We tested with an iPhone SE3, iOS 15.5, and we cannot reproduce this issue. If you are currently using the UCMRC plan, you do not need to configure port forwarding in this case. You can just log in your extension in the UCM63xx through the UCMRC address and try again. Thanks for your testing!

Thank you!

I’ll try with some other phones and systems.

Hi Community.

Can I ask what your experience with Grandstream Wave for Mobile has been like. Is it working reliably?

Thanks for your testing and feedback! Ideal for remote workers, Wave offers an easy-to-use platform to remotely join, schedule and hold meetings, calls and conferences from anywhere. It also allows UCM6300 series users to directly call other extensions, landlines, and mobile numbers. Wave is free, available for Android and iOS devices as well as Chrome and Firefox browsers, and can be quickly configured by scanning a barcode produced by the UCM6300 series. The application offers chat and collaboration features, such as sending messages, emoji characters and share files via private chat or group chats. It is compatible with Grandstream’s UCM RemoteConnect cloud service, which ensures a fully secure connection between Wave and the UCM6300 series by providing automatic, always-on NAT firewall traversal. Thanks to Wave, businesses can provide remote workers with a powerful mobile and web tool to meet and collaborate from anywhere, boosting productivity for dispersed organizations and remote workers.

Obviously this is if the UCM63xx is the firewall router only, that is why Marc (@Telefonix) asked what ports are needed to be opened up as no doubt he has deployed the UCM behind a commercial firewall / router.
