i saw it was update but the registrations are still grayed out and pinging the ip gets a time out. rebooting fone pinging resumes and registration comes back

#4

I just checked and the phone still pings…looking at my firewall traffic monitor it stopped talking at 12:04:58 PM this afternoon (it’s 5:43 PM now)

registrations are down.

#5

while pingable web access times out

#6

i turned on one click debugging and core dump and rebooted nothing found will have to wait I guess till it happens again :frowning:

#7

just checked at 8:16 P.M. and not registered again and can ping.Webgui unresponsive. rebooted and one click debugging was DISABLED. no core dumps.

#8

registration died again at around 7:49:56 AM. No pings. will reboot and see if we get a dump

got a popup “network connection failed” it disappeared (pretty fast) and then pings started and registered
nothing in the diagnosis page. Once-click debug again disabled after reboot. no dumps or anything.

#9

Just came back and turned on my WP800. It booted up, worked through the WiFi authentication, and automatically downloaded and applied the new firmware successfully.

DNS is still being overridden instead of appended

@wa4zlw

We didn’t reproduce the DNS issue on 1.0.1.5. Could you please factory reset your device and try again?

Thanks

#13

@GS.Rick you guys said in another thread that, i thought, you were going to implement the change? Can’t reset at this time. If DNS entry 1 is populated it ignored the ones from DHCP

in meantime, I am going to try an attach a pcap (huge) that shows the phone dying - I just started a call and it deregistered.

won’t let me upload says too big

“Sorry, that file is too big (maximum size is 30072kb).”

the file is a zip and 10.882 MB!

i think i shrunk the file down

#15

here’s another capture from this afternoon happening more frequently

#16

Hi,

Thanks for the captures. Yes we already addressed the issue where the alternate DNS server takes priority over the DNS1 and DNS2 on v1.0.1.5. We think its strange that it occurs again on your device and thus we recommend a factory reset to clear the configuration in case its cached in memory. Could you confirm the DNS1 and DNS2 on your device? We’ll check with the devs on the issue again.

1.1.1.1 or DNS1 should go after DHCP supplied DNS> I still like the idea of a checkbox to either replace or append the DNS so you can fully override the DHCP or now

#19

FYI was on another call and 11 minutes in i lost audio again. This is a showstopper as I was on with my insurance company making a claim :frowning:

@wa4zlw

Sorry I think on v1.0.1.5 they made some changes that brought back the DNS issue where the alternate DNS may override DNS 1 and DNS 2. We suggest to not use alternate DNS at this time while we work on resolving the issue.

Thanks
