BLF not working for remote phones?

#1

We have GXP2160 phones in a remote location, connected to our 6301 through GDMS. But the BLF are not working. What setting do we need and where?
Thanks

#2

Dear user,

Thank you for using the GDMS platform! Please kindly describe this issue in details. Please kindly list the operation steps of how to reproduce the “not working” issue, and also provide the captured logs from the GXP2160 including the process of reproducing this issue, we will help you troubleshoot this issue remotely. Thanks for your testing!

Thank you!

#4

Thanks for your updates, Damiano70. We will see if the user can resolve this issue by this solution. Thanks for your help!

Thank you!

#5

Thanks. I have STUN defined in Phone settings/General settings as: nat-e.gdms.cloud

#6

The issue is that all the BLF buttons are black. No green, no red, and the BLF do not do anything when pressed.
As I don’t know what is causing it, I cannot give you steps to reproduce…

Hi Kamal,

in GDMS, the BLF server is set in the SIP Server settings:

GDMS -> VOIP Account -> SIP Server -> Additional Settings: “BLF Server”

But in GDMS, I cannot edit the SIP Server settings.
Also do you know if the URI for Event List should be the same as on the UCM itself?

#8

Dear user,

Thank you for your feedback! Since the extensions were synchronized from the UCM device, so GDMS users cannot edit the SIP Server settings. You can edit it from the UCM itself and it will be synchronized to the GDMS platform after a short period. If your BLF settings have been pushed to the device, this issue should not be caused by the GDMS platform. You can capture the logs from the device side and send to us for troubleshooting. GDMS platform is only used to push the parameters and will not affect this function in the device. Thanks for your testing!

Thank you!

hi @GSSupport74,

he’s right,
also my GXP2135 on remote connect does not display the BLF status of the other extensions,
yet with the old versions of FW UCM630x I remember that I had tried and it worked,
what should i check to fix?

update:
I restarted the phone and now the status of the BLF is shown correctly

#10

Dear user,

Thank you for your feedback! Please kindly capture the trace file with syslog from the GXP2135 device and send to us for troubleshooting. If you can also capture the trace file and logs in the UCM63xx side, it will be helpful for us to troubleshoot this issue. Thanks for your testing!

Thank you!
