Account Registration Failed On GrandStream Android APP

#1

Hi Team,
I’m facing an issue on the last version of GrandStream Wave when trying to connect to UCM with a public IP (Ex: https://196.154.78.90:7800). Locally, it works. But when i use the public IP to connect externally, it fails showing “Account Registration Failed”.

Dear user,

Thank you for using the Wave application! Could you kindly export the logs from your Wave app and send them to us for troubleshooting? Thanks for your testing!

Thank you!

for security reasons you should not NAT any port, UCM6300 uses remote connect (the free plan still allows remote extensions)

Hi damiano70, thank you for the links.

After reading the first link’s content, is it impossible to connect remotely to UMC without configuring RemoteConnect??
The public IP of the UMC is published on a Fortigate. And the login page is accessible via the public IP and port (eg: https://196.154.78.:7800).

Dear user,

Thank you for your feedback! Based on your given logs, it shows that you cannot connect to the UCM server with the public IP address. You may need to contact the device owner or the administrator to check the device network and make sure that the public IP address is accessible from the external address. This should not be an issue for the UCMRC/Wave/UCM device. Please note that if your configuration and setup are correct, you are able to connect remotely to the UCM through the public IP address. Thanks for your testing!

Thank you!

Thank you for the reply, i have another question.
Is it impossible to connect remotely to UMC without configuring RemoteConnect??

Dear user,

Thank you for your feedback! No, users can connect remotely to the UCM63xx without configuring UCMRC. With UCMRC service, it will be easier for users to configure UCM63xx without setting up the NAT, and the communication capabilities are supported by UCMRC services will be powerful, and users will obtain a lot of features with UCMRC services. Please refer to the link below to learn more about UCMRC services:
