Grandstrea Jitter Buffer Settings
« on: November 04, 2010, 02:44:11 PM »
Does anyone know exactly what the jitter buffer settings refer to?  I understand what a jitter buffer is and what it does, but, when set to medium how much time is buffered?  How about low and high??  Are they the same on all Grandstream devices that support a jitter buffer?  Also, does the jitter buffer length apply to both the adaptive and the fixed jitter buffer settings??

Thank you,

jitter buffer is used to overcome the network instability, some time the audio packet does not arrive consecutively, so the jitter buffer gather the packet then rearrange them.
If no issue about the audio is noticed we suggest the let the jitter buffer as default i mean disabled.
