HT701 not working as expected with NAPTR + SRV
« on: August 01, 2017, 04:32:18 AM »
Hi, I have several HT701 and am upgrading my pbx to work in two datacenters with NAPTR + SRV Records.
Works great so far with all devices (Snom, Yealink, Gigaset, Softphones) but it fails with the HT701.
I have upgraded the firmware to 1.0.8.2 but it still can't register.

my NAPTR looks like this:

Code: [Select]
host -t NAPTR tenant.example.net

tenant.example.net has NAPTR record 100 20 "S" "SIP+D2U" "" _sip._udp.cluster1.example.net.
tenant.example.net has NAPTR record 100 10 "S" "SIP+D2T" "" _sip._tcp.cluster1.example.net.

and the SRV recrods:

Code: [Select]
host -t SRV _sip._udp.cluster1.example.net
_sip._udp.cluster1.example.net has SRV record 1 20 5060 srv-ix.example.co.
_sip._udp.cluster1.example.net has SRV record 2 20 5060 srv.example.co.

the ht710 sends a register to the correct server (srv-ix.example.co) but with the wrong domain in the user id. Instead of <id>@tenant.example.net it uses <id>@cluster1.example.net which is wrong.
from my point of view this looks like a bug, any chance to have grandstream look into this?

if anyone is wondering or having the same issue, bug has been confirmed by Grandstream 6 months ago but no fix since then.
That's what I call great service  :-[
I'm out, searching for other ATA Adapters.
