Hello from Greece.Recently I installed a GXE5028 with the latest firmware and occupying 2 out of the 8 FXO ports with PSTN lines.I would classify myself as a rather newbie in this area, so please excuse any silly questions. Therefore I am facing some problems and have questions which need clarification:1) Is anyone aware how is line termination working in Greece? Using Enable current, enable tone or polarity reversal ?2) I am having some problems with dialing as well. In 1 of the 2 FXO lines, the default DTMF plan does not work correctly and as it is obvious pressing any number does absolutely nothing. The second line is from an alternative provider other than the Greek telecom company. Does anyone have similar experience with this?3) I have set the number 9 to have access for external PSTN port. However, it seems that there is significant delay (2-3 sec) from the moment pressing 9 up to the time that the PBX actually opens up the line. Is there a way to fix this?4) There seems to be no way to get Caller ID to retrieve the ID. I have seen that in Greece we have ETSI_FSK which I suppose is not supported (or not?). Is there any other workaround for this?5) Upon transferring lines from one extension to the other, is there a way to talk to the other end first and then transfer the line rather than directly transfering it?6) Is there a way to have LCR and Dial Plan with this pbx? Is yes how?7) My intetion is to install another similar pbx to another location in order to connect these locations via Internet and avoid extra charges. However both locations are behind firewalls which fortunately I have access to. What will be needed in short to materialize such a project? Sorry if there are any silly questions, but please excuse my ignorance.THank you in advance.SkyNet

For your problem No. 3 have a look at this thread.http://forums.grandstream.com/node/894

For problem No. 5.

Do an attended transfer as follows (If using a GXP handset):

Attended (or Supervised) Transfer:
Press “LINEx” button to make a call and automatically place the ACTIVE LINE on HOLD. Once the call is established, press “TRANSFER (or TRNF)” key to transfer the call and hang up.

(From GXP User manual).

Thanks vasyd for the prompt reply.I forgot to mention that I am currently using the Grandstream GXP2000 for the secretary and Grandstream BT200 for the normal users.I tried to setup a remote extension and I connected through X-lite but audio does not seem to go through. The 5028 is behind a router with NAT. I have connected the WAN to the router (which gets and 192.168.1.xx address) and I set the LAN to another 192.168.1.xx address (I do not know if this is the right connection).I opened up the 5060 port in the router and redirected it to the LAN interface IP. Is this correct?X-Lite does not work unfortunately.. Are there any other ports needed to be opened up?

Try specifying the IP of the GXE as a DMZ host in your router.
