Our 7610 is on 1.0.1.27, every time we try to upgrade we get UPGRADE ERROR, no matter if we use our HTTP server, or the firmware.grandstream.com\beta

Upgrade to 1.0.2.12 with HTTP-server in the same subnet was no problem:
First Upgrade the slave-APs via master-AP (select all and click upgrade).
2nd upgrade the master-AP via maintenance -> upgrade.
Then 'Download Configuration' and 'factory reset'. Afterworlds 'Upload Configuration'.
No problem at all.

SNMP does not apear to be working.  I added my snmp community and it will not respond to a snmpwalk.

Sorry I guess I should have read the release notes SNMP does not work in this version DOH!!

I had a similar issue on my network.  Please make sure you don't have any DHCP Option 66 for TFTP configured on your DHCP server.  If you do that will overide any settings you put in the update section of the web ui.

I finally set the unit for static ip instead of dhcp, and had success...

Not sure why, all of our other grandstream devices work fine on dhcp, but at least it is upgraded

My guess is you have DHCP Option 66 enabled on your DHCP server and that is causing the issue.  If that is enabled it will override any upgrade server you put in the GUI.

Hallo zusammen,

I'm also getting only error messages while trying to upgrade to beta. I already tried to set up the AP in static mode, but still the same effect. When I try to upgrade via the ssh console, I'll get the message: failed with error 255.

Anyone any hints?
Any support would be appreciated.

I'm running 1.0.1.27 and I tried using the local http method as well as the static ip configuration. Both as described earlier, but without any success.

This is working with the firmware-file gwn7610fw.bin on a local http-server 192.168.178.10:

Factory reset and then on System Settings / Maintenance:

Upgrade Via:         http

Firmware Server:  192.168.178.10
Config Server:      192.168.178.10

Check/Download New Firmware at Boot:  yes

Click Upgrade Now -> Upgrade

If it doesn't work, check if you can download the firmware-file via browser:
http://192.168.178.10/gwn7610fw.bin
