Moving IPVideoTalk SIP registration to other account
« on: June 16, 2009, 02:46:35 PM »
I\'d like to relocate the IPVideoTalk registration to account 3 instead of account 1, but I need the SIP authentication password for my phone\'s account on the IPVideoTalk server.  How do I go about getting that?  Is there another way to accomplish this?

This is in the plan. The future firmware will allow configuration the mapping of default accounts and lines.

The password is given by the SIP  server. If you have a GXE or another kind of IPBX, you can login the UI, and get the password for the relative account you want. If not, you need to ask your phone\'s SIP server to give the passward to you.

Via "Grandsteam Command Shell", one can read out config variables.

Open a telnet connection to the phone, switch to config prompt via "config", then retrieve them via "get <number>".

The numbers can be found in www.grandstream.com/GAPSLITE/config-template.zip from page www.grandstream.com/support/configurationtool.html

35 is SIP User ID, 36 is Authenticate ID, 34 is Authenticate Password.

Example for account 1:

CONFIG> get 270
#270 = IPVideoTalk
CONFIG> get 47
47 = sip.ipvideotalk.com:48879
CONFIG> get 35
35 = 81XXXXX
CONFIG> get 36
36 = 81XXXXX
CONFIG> get 34
34 = XXXXXXXX
